The presentation of the Sport Summit Madrid 2025 took place yesterday at the Madrid City Hall, with the participation of all institutional partners, including UN Tourism.
This event will be held in Madrid on June 18-19, 2025, bringing together key stakeholders from the sports and related industries. With conferences, B2B networking spaces, and exhibition areas, It will offer an excellent opportunity for professionals to network, exchange ideas, and share best practices.
Director Vilcu emphasized that UN Tourism is pleased to support this initiative, launched by our Affiliate Member MadCup, as it aligns closely with our Organization's mission to strengthen the virtuous link between tourism and sports, helping destinations capitalize the potential of this growing sector.
During the event, the impact study of MadCup 2024 was also presented. As one of the largest international grassroots sporting events, MadCup saw participation from 809 teams (over 100 of which were female), representing 35 countries, with more than 2,300 games across 17 categories.
The tournament generated an economic return of EUR 60 million in the Madrid Community. UN Tourism is also very proud to support this tournament, which successfully integrates sports, tourism, education, and values.
La presentación del Sport Summit Madrid 2025 tuvo lugar ayer en el Ayuntamiento de Madrid, con la participación de todos los socios institucionales, incluyendo a ONU Turismo.
Este evento se celebrará en Madrid los días 18 y 19 de junio de 2025, reuniendo a actores clave de las industrias del deporte y sectores relacionados. Con conferencias, espacios de networking B2B y áreas de exhibición, ofrecerá una excelente oportunidad para que los profesionales puedan establecer contactos, intercambiar ideas y compartir mejores prácticas.

Durante el evento también se presentó el estudio de impacto de MadCup 2024. Como uno de los mayores eventos deportivos internacionales de base, MadCup contó con la participación de 809 equipos (más de 100 de ellos femeninos), representando a 35 países, con más de 2.300 partidos en 17 categorías.
El torneo generó un retorno económico de 60 millones de euros para la Comunidad de Madrid. ONU Turismo también se enorgullece de apoyar este torneo, que integra con éxito deporte, turismo, educación y valores.
